DOE Funding Webinar - TODAY 2PM Central

Webinar Today (2PM Central) on the Energy Departments FOA for Alt Fuel deployment

Last week, the Energy Department announced up to $4.5 million to expand the use of alternative fuel vehicles through the Clean Cities program. The objective of this FOA is to create and implement high impact and highly innovative approaches to increase the acceptance and deployment of Alternative Fuel Vehicles (AFVs).  This will be accomplished in part by funding three different Areas of Interest (AOI) which focus on: AFV-use demonstrations via hands-on experiences, safety-related training, and emergency preparedness.

EERE anticipates that many different projects will be proposed and encourages new and innovative approaches that are projected to have a high impact.  The alternative fuel types to be addressed under this FOA are provided at:

Concept papers to apply for this funding are required and due August 1, 2014. Full applications are due October 1, 2014. You can view the full announcement here:

This funding will support seven to fifteen deployment projects in three major areas: on-the-road demonstrations, safety-related training, and emergency preparedness. 

  1. Demonstration Projects (50% Cost share, $250,000 to $500,000 per award, 2-4 awards)
  2. First Responder Alt Fuel Training (20% Cost share, $250,000 - $1,000,000 per award, 4-10 awards)
  3. Emergency Preparedness (20% Cost share, up to $1,000,000, one award nationwide)
