Leesville, LA | March 21, 2014— Louisiana Clean Fuels (LCF), in partnership with LCF stakeholder Town of Hornbeck, invites regional media outlets, business and industry leaders, government agencies and area citizens to a press conference at 1001 N. 6th Street in Leesville at Noon on Friday, March 28. Details on an upcoming joint economic development will be announced at the event. In the case of inclement weather, the announcement will be made across U.S. 171 S at Johnson Temple Church of Christ, 200 Nona Street, Leesville.
Ann Shaneyfelt, Executive Director of LCF, states “Louisiana Clean Fuels and Mayor Beebe of the Town of Hornbeck have been working closely, and we have been impressed with the towns’ plans. Hornbeck is a little town with big ideas. I believe that this announcement will encourage other municipalities to follow their lead.”
The mission of LCF is to advance that state’s environmental, economic and energy security by supporting local actions to diversify transportation fuel options. As a member of the Department of Energy’s Clean Cities Program, LCF strives to achieve these goals by employing a variety of strategies including the promotion of alternative fuel vehicles, fuel blends, increased fuel economy, hybrid vehicles, and idle reduction technologies.
Louisiana Clean Fuels will be available to comment on the announcement.
