Background:
As of August of 2013, Louisiana now has a Truck Stop Electrification facility thanks to a grant from the state Department of Environmental Quality (LDEQ) awarded to the Greater Baton Rouge Clean Cities Coalition (GBRCCC - now LCF).

IdleAir Advanced Truck Stop Electrification (TSE) provides class 8 long-haul truck drivers with a suite of services that eliminate the need for engine idling. Electrified Parking Spaces (EPS) allow truck drivers to power their air conditioner, small appliances, or Internet router. The system delivers power for heating, ventilation, and air conditioning by connecting a hose into the truck window. Truck drivers using the equipment will be charged by the hour for access to the EPS.

The story:

Drivers pulling into special parking spots along the back of Cash’s Truck Plaza in Port Allen are looking for the hook-up…literally..."  Read more:  http://www.wafb.com/story/26061161/its-electric-local-truck-stop-goes-green
