LCF was recognized as a new member of the DEQ's Environmental Leadership Program in a ceremony on June 9, 2022  for being a respected steward of the state’s environmental plan to promote a cleaner better environment for Louisiana.

LCF, a Clean Cities coalition, actively helps vehicle fleets and consumers reduce their petroleum use. Clean Cities builds partnerships with local and statewide organizations in the public and private sectors to adopt:

  • Alternative and renewable fuels
  • Idle-reduction measures
  • Fuel economy improvements
  • New transportation technologies, as they emerge.

As a new member of LELP, LCF will continue to engage and inform stakeholders of the importance of our state’s air quality and environment as in
compliance with the DEQ’s strategic plan.

Dr. Chuck Carr Brown, Secretary of Department of Environmental Quality, stated that “the members are making a real difference and are helping to grow the programs and that since the Climate Action Plan has passed, we all have a piece of this to do our part.”

Ann Vail, Executive Director, Louisiana Clean Fuels accepted the certificate at an acknowledgement presentation. The award was for “above and beyond regulatory compliance to sustainability improve the quality of the environment.”
