Bot Auto and Ryan Transportation have announced a partnership to launch fully driverless freight service between Houston and Dallas, targeting commercial operations in spring 2026. The 200-mile corridor was selected for its consistent freight demand and operational predictability, making it well suited for autonomous deployment. Bot Auto will provide driverless trucks through its Transportation-as-a-Service model, while Ryan Transportation integrates that capacity into its brokerage network to offer autonomous options to shippers in Texas.

This partnership signals that autonomous freight is no longer theoretical. Defined lanes, strong brokerage partnerships, and clear operational use cases are accelerating real-world deployment. As we continue tracking emerging freight technologies, this is one to watch closely.

His presentation highlighted the operational realities behind autonomy, and this latest announcement shows the industry is moving quickly from discussion to action.
